American Rescue Plan - Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief
On Thursday, March 11, 2021, the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act was signed into law. It is an unprecedented $1.9 trillion package of assistance measures, including $122 billion for the ARP Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ARP ESSER) Fund. Funds are provided to State educational agencies and school districts to help safely reopen and sustain the safe operation of schools and address the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the Nation’s students.

ESSER Transparency Dashboard
The ESSER transparency dashboard provides the public an opportunity to access information about how funds have been used to improve student learning, address lost learning opportunities, support students’ mental health and wellbeing, and more. The dashboard will be updated monthly. It is important to note that the dashboard will not show funds that are obligated and will reflect reimbursed expenses.
The dashboard shows spending under all three rounds of ESSER funding – through the CARES Act in May 2020, the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act in January 2021, and the American Rescue Plan in March 2021.
